when i first received it, i couldn’t believe that it was waterproof because you can’t see the waterproof fabric which is inside. so i poured water on it to see if it penetrates, and the other side stayed dry! so yeah, it is waterproof. i like that it is without potentially harmful chemicals and organic. besides, who wants that plasticky backing when you sleep??
